Now that we are a few weeks into our training its time to take a look at ways to avoid injuries as we start to build some volume. Dr. Michael Morrison of Red Hammer Rehab talks to The Denver Channel about the importance of a good dynamic warm up before our run instead of the long sustained stretch we are used to.

Week 3: Avoid Injuries While Training

The Dash & Dine offers a free coached warm up before every race by Revolution Running coach Matt Hill. This group warm up starts at 6pm and will take you on a short warm up jog and dynamic drills to get you ready to run a great race. It’s also a great way to make new friends before the race begins.

The first of the Dash & Dine 5k run series starts next Tuesday night. Registration and packet pick up is open at 5:30pm, the warm up is at 6 and the race starts at 6:30.
