We will miss our previous year’s warm-up coach Matt Hill, this season of the Dash & Dine, but happy to announce a new Revolution Warm-up Coach, Luis Hernandez.

Each week at 6pm, Luis will lead you through an easy warm up jog and some warm up drills to get you ready to race! Its free and a great opportunity keep your running on track and meet some new people before the race.

Luis started running in 2010 as a way of coping with “The Great Recession” and significant business loss from the housing crisis. He foolishly set his sights on running the Philadelphia Marathon in 2010 though he could not even run for 5 minutes as of that March. He finished in 4:53:05.
He swore he would never run another unless it was NYC, which he eventually got into via a lottery in 2014. This time he smartened up and sought coaching with Revolution Running which helped him improve drastically to 4:0713.

Since then he has run a total of eight marathons and chipped away at his new goal of qualifying for Boston and running a sub-3 hour marathon. Thanks to the amazing coaches at Revolution Running, Luis has brought his time down to 3:10:51. His next marathon is Grandma’s in Duluth, MN this summer.

Luis lives in Lafayette and is a real estate broker with eXp Realty. When not running, Luis spends time with his wife of 15 years and their two intelligent, beautiful, and sassy daughters who attend Lafayette Elementary and Angevine Middle Schools.

Remember the coached warm up is FREE for all participants and starts at 6pm in the main parking lot next to registration. Even if you miss the start, you can jump in at any time.
